  Came here with a group of 8 people. It was very busy (a Friday or Saturday evening) and the service suffered which is understandable. But I felt the food was just overpriced Mexican influenced fare. Among the items my fellow guests orders, nothing really stood out. I do however, really like the interior of the place. Great atmosphere and ambiance. I'd come here for drinks again.

  Well the 3 stars is definitely not for the hostess or the servers. If that was the case it would be no stars. Our family had waited over 30 minutes for a table and we were shoved into a small booth with eight people due to having a baby with us. I would very much like to rate this as a five star experience just for the bartender Drew, but due to the poor service of the hostess and the servers I nor my family will ever eat at this establishment. We will only ever be back to sit at the bar when Drew is on.

  BOOM! This place is so amazing!! We are super picky about Mexican Food and great service... we actually almost didn't go because the reviews seemed really mixed. Our experience at Matador started with our awesome server, Enoch. We were quickly seated (for lunch on a Friday) and brought out chips and salsa. He has probably set the bar as far as what excellent servers should be like. We asked him LOTS of questions about the menu and he happily answered with incredible knowledge of the flavor profiles of the different dishes. I was blown away. My husband and I each got the Street Taco plate with 5 different meats, it was a great dish. Enoch brought us little sides of other sauces so we could taste them as well. He was around enough to check on us, but not annoy us. He knows how to balance the need without being overbearing. He was super friendly and knowledgeable... Go to Matador at the Village and ask for Enoch! You won't be disappointed!
